Desi Junction announces "Heritage India Festival 2010". -  HURRY !! REGISTRATION CLOSES on JULY 31st

A Festival that brings thousands of South Asians from all walks of life and from all age groups and provides everlasting memories. Festival will incorporate a variety of culture designed to appeal to families from all cultural backgrounds, dance and singing performances, ‘Fashion shows’ by local top designers, Food court with the verity of delicious food, Folk Dances etc. As a community-focused event, this event really identify with the strong importance of family within the Indo-American  culture in the spirit of celebrating diversity and multiculturalism.
 
The highlight of the event is neumorous Vendor stalls displaying their Fashion Garments , Jewelry along with other merchandise. India Festival offers something for everyone, in a family-friendly. Some of the highlights for this year's festival include: Shopping, Garments, Jewelry, Movies, Handicrafts, Henna tattoo, House wares, Paintings, Books, Childrens CD/VVDs medicines are just to name a few.  The visitors will savor the unique "Taste Of India" with a variety of food stalls from North to South Indian Food Like Chat, Bhelpuri, Samosa, Vegi Kababs, Biryani, Dosa, Idli, etc. This is one of a kind event that the people of ChicagoLand wait all year long and this year its even special as "Desi Junction" celebrates 10 years of its existence.
 
Challenge 2010 - ZAMANE KO DIKHANA HAI is an event that is filled with various aspects of the South Asian Culture inspires new and young local talent and challenges their Singing and Dancing capabilities. For the last eight years Desi Junction Radio has given one of a kind platform to the budding and aspiring talent in the area.  Just a day after the last  competition, the team started getting inquiries and reservations for next singing and dancing contest.

It gives me immense pleasure to invite you in Celebrating Heritage India Festival 2010 on Saturday August 21st at Jain Community Center in Bartlett Illinois.  Festival will incorporate a variety of culture designed to appeal to families from all cultural backgrounds, dance and singing performances, ‘Fashion shows’ by local top designers, Food court with the verity of delicious food, Folk Dances etc.
 
As a community-focused event, we really identify with the strong importance of family within the Indo-American  culture and we wanted to find a way to better welcome all members of our community to our event in the spirit of celebrating diversity and multiculturalism.

Food from different parts of India, including chaat, samosas, kachoris, papdi, dosa, chana-bhatura, idli, vada, fresh-made sweets and namkeens, Indian chai and coffee, pastries and more!  The Challenge 2010 - Competition, with local singers and dance teams of all ages competing for prizes and hionors.
 
The Entertainment stage showcases the most successful and famous Singing and Dance competition Zamane Ko Dikhana Hai“. For several participants, this platform was a major stepping stone to get into limelight on the national arena in India and other south-Asian countries.   Give out new wings to your talent and let it fly on heights. Singing & Dance Judges Needed: We assure the best result of the competition. We always look for qualified judges with their expertise in their areas. Please let us know if you or anybody you know who can be a great judge.

10 Years celebrations of Desi Junction
To mark the beginning of 10 Years celebrations of Desi Junction, we are planning to organize one of its kind Singing and Dance Competition featuring the Dances of India .
 
The most anticipated dance and singing event in the Midwest is about to happen in Chicago.  On heavy public demand, Desi Junction Radio team once again takes initiative to bring Zamane ko Dikhana Hai 2010  to South Asian Community of Greater Chicago Area. For the last eight years DJR has given one of a kind platform to the budding and aspiring talent in the area.  Just a day after the last  competition, we started getting inquiries and reservations for next singing and dancing contest.  
Well the wait is over!  
 
The Zamane ko Dikhana Hai 2010 will include more categories for the participants and also introduces a first of its kind classical dance competition in the mid west area!
 
Desi Junction’s “Zamane ko Dikhana Hai 2010 has gained reputation of the most widely known professional, unbiased, fair singing and dancing competition and judged by the reputed professionals in the respective fields.  This annual local event has prepared many local talented people to compete on the national and international arenas.
